If you are new to therapy I know it can be daunting, meeting someone you don’t really know all that well yet, and talking and being vulnerable with them can initially bring up feelings of overwhelm or anxiety, this is perfectly natural and it is my job to ensure a safe space for you to land where you are able to think, feel and be entirely yourself. 


Everything is done in a way where you feel comfortable, I work in a collaborative manner and our sessions and time together is completely tailored to you.

Working together looks like this;

  • A 15 minute good fit phone call to discuss needs and fit. 

  • A 75 minute initial intake + assessment session conducted on telehealth platform, zoom. 

  • 50 minute sessions thereafter based on needs conducted on telehealth platform, zoom.

  • Creation of an individualized treatment plan. 

  • Access to the virtual wellness app with scientifically backed therapeutic tools and resources for use in between sessions as an extra layer of support + connection. (Clients love this!)

  • Further resources and referrals. 

  • Use of tools to track progress. 

  • Exploration of alternative treatment options, including meditation therapy.

FAQs

What is a session with Jo like?

Jo is warm, caring and skilled with a knack for making you feel at ease and as if you have known her your whole life. Any feelings of apprehension about working with a therapist either in person or online, are totally normal. You are taking steps to make changes in your life and that can feel daunting, but you know the saying ‘nothing changes if nothing changes.’ All sessions with Jo are guided by where you are at on the given day, she will work with you and what is most needed, this will be done in a very safe and supportive way. These are your sessions and it is your time, Jo will ensure that you feel comfortable and at the same time get the most out of your time together.

What days does Jo work?

Jo’s 1:1 days in the Little Sage Studio are Wednesday - Friday with 2 x Saturday’s a month.

I live oversea’s, can i still work with Jo?

Yes, Jo’s is an Internationally qualified Coach, Counsellor and Meditation Therapist.

What happens if the video or audio connection is bad on the day if i’m doing a telehealth session?

If the quality of our call is affected in any way, we can conduct the session over the phone and if this is not available, we will reschedule the full session for as soon as we can.

How do you ensure confidentiality?

All records are kept in Cliniko which is an encrypted and highly secure platform.

Online / telehealth sessions are conducted on ZOOM, with a password protected room ensuring privacy + safety.

And face to face sessions are held in the Little Sage Studio, a safe and welcoming space that has been specifically set up as a place where you can go and feel comfortable, with sound knowledge that all care has been taken to make sure that privacy is ensured.

Can i claim on Medicare or Private Health?

Unfortunately at this time i am unable to offer the medicare rebate or private health insurance. I am hoping that legislation changes and i am able to offer this in the future.

I do offer payment plans and will work with you to find a solution that is best.

What if i need to cancel?

Jo completely understands that things come up and life happens. If you need to reschedule please email / message / or call with as much notice as possible. If there are repeated cancellations or no shows, a fee will be incurred. This is outlined in further detail in your agreement and welcome packet which you receive at the beginning of your time with Jo.
